There is no stage like it…
In the UK at least, the Royal Albert Hall reigns supreme.
From the BBC Proms to the BAFTA's the Royal Albert Hall has played host to countless celebrities and virtuoso's. It’s not all hype though, I promise.
Walking from the Bull Run (Stage Left) onto the stage you experience a full panoramic of the audience. There are dazzling lights, 6000 seats and that iconic Queen’s box looking back at you. Modern concert hall's might have superior acoustics but the Albert has all the glamour.
It’s going to be quite an experience for the thousands of school children who are coming to watch Prom Praise next week.
The concert is based around BBC 10 Pieces with a Christian focus. It’s also what my fellow trumpeters and I call ‘a smack in the face’. I’ll be playing Short Ride in a Fast Machine by Adam’s, the Firebird by Stravinsky and West Side Story by Bernstein. Plus the All Souls Orchetsra’s speciality, hymn’s and worship music.
It’s a perfect concert for any age but children will love the whole experience so if you find yourself in need of some energising than grab yourself a box or slum it in the gallery. It’s a great view wherever you are.
